MLB: Toronto 8, Chi. White Sox 2

TORONTO, May 27 (UPI) -- Troy Glaus, Alex Rios, Vernon Wells and Reed Johnson all homered Friday night as Toronto battered the Chicago White Sox, 8-2.

Rios had two runs, three hits and one RBI, stretching his hitting streak to 12 games; Lyle Overbay had two hits and three runs; and Aaron Hill had two hits and one RBI for the Blue Jays (26-21).

Toronto has won three of its last four games.

Winning pitcher Ted Lilly (5-4) gave up two runs and five hits in 6 1/3 innings with four walks and seven strikeouts.

Paul Konerko hit two home runs for the White Sox (31-16), who had only five hits while having their three-game winning streak snapped.

Loser Freddy Garcia (7-2), who had his personal seven-game winning broken, allowed five runs and 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings with no walks and four strikeouts.

Glaus, normally a third baseman, made his first career start at shortstop.
