MLB: Tampa Bay 4, Toronto 1

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., May 12 (UPI) -- Julio Lugo had two hits, two runs and an RBI Friday night as Tampa Bay beat the Toronto Blue Jays, 4-1.

Carl Crawford had a run and two hits; and while Jonny Gomes had a hit and an RBI for the Devil Rays (15-21), who broke a four-game losing streak.

Winning pitcher Seth McClung (2-4) gave up one run and six hits in seven innings with one walk and six strikeouts.

Tyler Walker recorded his fifth save.

Vernon Wells one hit and drove in the lone run; while both Lyle Overbay and Greg Zaun had two hits for the Blue Jays (19-16). Toronto had won its previous two games.

In seven innings, loser Casey Janssen (1-3) yielded four runs and seven hits with one walk and four strikeouts.
