DENVER, April 18 (UPI) -- Chuck Hayes dunked with 13.4 seconds remaining Monday to give Houston the lead as the Rockets posted an 86-83 come-from-behind win over the Denver Nuggets.
Juwan Howard paced the Rockets with 31 points. Rafer Alston added 17 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, and Keith Bogans 15 points and seven rebounds.

Carmelo Anthony had 22 points and six rebounds to lead the playoff-bound Nuggets, who have dropped three straight.
Denver has clinched the third seed in the NBA Western Playoffs, but will not have the home-court advantage in the first round. The Nuggets will play either the LA Clippers or Memphis in the first round, and both teams have a better record.
