CHICAGO, April 16 (UPI) -- In a rain-shortened contest Sunday afternoon, the Chicago White Sox beat Toronto, 6-4.
The game was called after 4½ innings.
Jim Thome and Jermaine Dye both hit two-run homers and Tadahito Iguchi had an RBI for the White Sox (7-5), who have won six of their last seven games. Thome has scored a run in all 12 of Chicago's games this season.
Winning pitcher Freddy Garcia (2-1) yielded four runs and four hits in five innings with three walks and six strikeouts.
Russ Adams, Lyle Overbay and Vernon Wells each had a hit and an RBI for the Blue Jays (6-6), who have dropped two in a row following a three-game winning streak. Loser Josh Towers (0-3) gave up five runs and seven hits in two innings with two walks and two strikeouts.
