NHL: Florida 6, Ottawa 2

SUNRISE, Fla., March 8 (UPI) -- Jozef Stumpel and Nathan Horton scored two goals each Wednesday night as the Florida Panthers beat the Ottawa Senators, 6-2.

Rostislav Olesz added a goal and two assists, Martin Gelinas had one goal and one assist, while goaltender Roberto Luongo made 33 saves for the Panthers (24-28-10), who broke a three-game losing streak. Luongo made his 19th straight start to break his own franchise record.

Antoine Vermette and Peter Schaefer scored goals, Mike Fisher, Chris Philips, and Christoph Schubert had assists and goalie Ray Emery made 32 saves for the Senators (41-15-5), who had five-game winning streak snapped.

Florida out-shot Ottawa, 38-35. The two teams were scoreless on a combined nine power play opportunities.
