NBA: Detroit 97, Atlanta 87

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Feb. 21 (UPI) -- Richard Hamilton scored 24 points Tuesday as the Detroit Pistons beat the Atlanta Hawks, 97-87, in their first game since the All-Star break.

Rasheed Wallace added 21 points and 12 rebounds, Chauncey Billups 19 points and 15 assists and Ben Wallace nine points and 17 rebounds for the Pistons, who have won four of their last five overall.

Al Harrington led the Hawks with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Josh Childress added 18 points for Atlanta, which has lost three of its last four games.

The Hawks kept it close early, but the Pistons pulled away with a 15-6 third-quarter run.
