McNair replacing Plummer at Pro Bowl

NASHVILLE, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Tennessee Titans quarterback Steve McNair was added to the AFC Pro Bowl roster Tuesday as replacement for injured Denver quarterback Jake Plummer.

This will be McNair's third Pro Bowl. He made the team after the 2000 season but did not play due to injury. He was voted the AFC starter after the 2003 season.

This past season, McNair started 14 games and completed 292 of 476 passes for 3,161 yards with 16 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

An 11-year veteran, McNair became just the second quarterback in franchise history to reach 25,000 career passing yards, joining recent Hall of Fame inductee Warren Moon.

The former Alcorn State star is the second Titan to be added to the Pro Bowl roster since the season ended. Defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch was named to the squad to replace injured Miami star Jason Taylor.
