NBA: Houston 86, Milwaukee 84

HOUSTON, Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Houston's Tracy McGrady scored 22 points and newly returned Yao Ming posted 21 points and 13 rebounds as the Rockets edged visiting Milwaukee, 86-84.

Rafer Alston scored nine points, and Chuck Hayes posted eight points and eight rebounds for Houston. Yao played his first home game since Dec. 6 against Boston. He returned to the lineup on Monday, six weeks after undergoing surgery on his left big toe.

For the Bucks, Bobby Simmons scored 26 points, but missed a game-winning jumper from beyond the top of the key with three seconds left. Jiri Welsch had 17 points, Jamaal Magloire posted 13 points and 15 rebounds, while T.J. Ford scored 12 for Milwaukee.
