NBA: Detroit 90, Minnesota 74

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Richard Hamilton had 21 points, six assists, five rebounds and two steals Wednesday night as Detroit routed Minnesota, 90-74.

Tayshaun Prince scored 20 points; Antonio McDyess had 11 points and six rebounds; and Ben Wallace, who did not score a point, added 17 rebounds, four steals and three blocked shots for the Pistons (38-6), who rebounded after losing to New Jersey on Tuesday night, a loss that snapped their 11-game winning streak.

Kevin Garnett had 14 points and 12 rebounds; Trenton Hassell added 14 points, six rebounds and two assists; Rashad Mc Cants had 12 points, two assists and two steals; and Ricky Davis scored 11 points for the Timberwolves (21-23), who have dropped two of their last three games.

Detroit out-rebounded Minnesota, 40-33.
