MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Kevin Garnett had a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds Wednesday night as Minnesota beat the Dallas Mavericks, 91-78.
It was a complete reversal by the Timberwolves, who lost by 97-70 on Sunday at Miami.
Wally Szczerbiak finished with 20 points and five rebounds while Trenton Hassell added 14 points and Marko Jaric totaled 22 points, six rebounds and four assists for Minnesota (15-14), who snapped a two-game skid.
Dirk Nowitzki recorded 23 points and seven rebounds, Marquis Daniels scored 16 points, Josh Howard added 14 points and seven boards, and Erick Dampier added eight points and 10 rebounds for the Mavericks (23-9), who had a two-game winning streak snapped.
Dallas had a slim 40-39 edge in rebounding but scored only 37 points in the second half to Minnesota's 53.
