NHL: Calgary 6, Edmonton 5

CALGARY, Alberta, Jan. 1 (UPI) -- Kristian Huselius scored the game-winning goal with just over a minute left, giving the Calgary Flames a 6-5 victory over the Edmonton Oilers.

Shean Donovan and Daymond Langkow both scored two goals apiece at the Pengrowth Saddledome and Miikka Kiprusoff made 25 saves for Calgary, which has won four of its last five games.

Matthew Lombardi added a shorthanded tally for the Flames, who now stand alone in first place in the Northwest Division.

Jarret Stoll and Ales Hemsky registered a goal and an assist each, Ryan Smyth added his 17th tally of the season and Jussi Markkanen stopped 19 shots for Edmonton, which has lost three of its last four games. Marc-Andre Bergeron and Raffi Torres added goals for the Oilers.
