NBA: Washington 110, San Antonio 95

WASHINGTON, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Gilbert Arenas poured in 43 points Saturday to lead the Washington Wizards to a 110-95 victory over the San Antonio Spurs.

The Wizards (5-1) are off to their best start since the 1989-90 team also started out with wins in five of its first six games.

Antawn Jamison added 19 points and Caron Butler 17 for Washington, which shot 55 percent from the floor.

Tim Duncan was held to 11 points on 3-of-18 shooting, and the perennial all-star missed several point-blank opportunities although he did have 14 rebounds in the loss.

Manu Ginobili led the Spurs with 28 points, while Tony Parker added 23 for San Antonio, which had won three straight.
