NHL: Chicago 6, San Jose 3

CHICAGO, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- Pavel Vorobiev had two goals and an assist Friday night as Chicago beat the San Jose Sharks, 6-3.

Rookie Brent Seabrook had four assists to tie a franchise record for most points and assists by a rookie in a single game, Nikolai Khabibulin made 21 saves, and Tyler Arnason added a goal and two assists for the Blackhawks (1-1).

Marco Sturm, Kyle McLaren and Milan Michalek all scored for San Jose, which pulled starting goaltender Vesa Toskala, who made just 10 saves on 14 shots before being replaced by Evgeni Nabokov in the second period.

The Blackhawks have allowed four power-play goals in their first two games, but San Jose was just 2-for-8 on extra-man advantages. Chicago was 3-of-7.
