ANAHEIM, Calif., Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Orlando Cabrera and Jose Molina both hit 2-run singles in the seventh inning to lift the L.A. Angels of Anaheim to a 6-5 win over the Texas Rangers.

Cabrera finished with three RBI for the Angels, who extended their AL West lead to 2 1/2 games over Oakland, which lost to Minnesota Wednesday.

For the Rangers, Hank Blalock hit a two-run homer and Michael Young added a solo shot.

Scott Feldman (0-1) took the loss, while Esteban Yan (1-1) got the win.

The Rangers' starting pitcher, Kameron Loe, left the game in the fourth inning after being hit in the head by a line drive off the bat of Vladimir Guerrero. Loe, who was taken to the hospital for precautionary tests, allowed one run on two hits in 3 1/3 innings.
