PITTSBURGH, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- Freddy Sanchez was 3-for-4 with two RBI Sunday to lead the Pittsburgh Pirates to a 9-7 win over the Cincinnati Reds.
Brad Eldred also had three hits and one RBI for the Pirates, who have won three in a row, their first three-game winning streak at home since July 7-9.
Rich Aurilia had three hits and Jason LaRue hit a three-run homer for the Reds, who have lost four of their last six games.
Pittsburgh was trailing by a run before scoring three in the eighth.
Cincinnati loaded the bases in the ninth, but Mike Gonzalez struck out Ryan Freel to end the game. Gonzalez (1-3) earned the win with two scoreless innings of relief.
Matt Belisle (4-8) was charged with the loss after giving up three runs on three hits in one-plus inning
