MLB: N.Y. Yankees 10, Kansas City 3

NEW YORK, Aug. 28 (UPI) -- Jason Giambi hit two home runs and knocked in seven runs Sunday afternoon to lead the New York Yankees to a 10-3 win over Kansas City.

Giambi and Derek Jeter each had three hits and Bernie Williams had two -- and drove in three runs for the Yankees, who have won four in a row and six of seven. Jeter extended his hitting streak to eight games.

Winning pitcher Al Leiter improved to 4-3 with the Yankees since being obtained from Florida in mid-season. He allowed one run and only two hits in six innings with four walks and six strikeouts.

Mike Sweeney hit a two-run homer for Kansas City. Loser Zack Greinke sank to 3-16 and now leads the majors in losses.

Kansas City now has lost 11 in a row at Yankee Stadium.
