MALMO, Sweden, Aug. 4 (UPI) -- Liselotte Neumann shot a 4-under-par 68 Thursday to take the lead after the first round of the Scandinavian TPC.
The event is hosted by Annika Sorenstam, who carded a 2-under-par 70 and shares second with fellow Swede Carin Koch and Marta Prieto.
Koch eagled the par-four sixth to tie Sorenstam for second.
Another Swede, Helen Alfredsson, leads a group of four players at 1-under-par 71. Suzann Pettersen, Maria Hjorth and Patricia Meunier-Lebouc are among seven players tied for eighth at even-par 72.
Neumann, who shared fifth with Sorenstam at the Women's British Open last week, parred her first seven holes and then dropped a shot on the eighth before warming up. She closed with back-to-back birdies at 17 and 18.
