MLB: Florida 6, Arizona 3

PHOENIX, July 20 (UPI) -- A.J. Burnett threw six solid innings to help Florida to a 6-3 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks at Bank One Ballpark.

Miguel Cabrera swatted two solo homers, Carlos Delgado smacked a two-run shot, and Juan Pierre went 2-for-5 with an RBI single.

Burnett (6-6) allowed three runs and struck out six before turning the game over to his bullpen. John Riedling, Guillermo Mota and Todd Jones then held the Diamondbacks down over their final three at-bats, with Jones earning his 15th save.

Arizona's Javier Vazquez (8-9) was tagged for six runs on nine hits and issued a season-high five walks over five frames.

Royce Clayton had four hits, finishing a home run short of the cycle, and drove in all three Diamondback runs in the loss.
