MLB: L.A. Angels 8, Texas 6

ANAHEIM, Calif., June 22 (UPI) -- Six solid innings of pitching by Bartolo Colon helped the L.A. Angels of Anaheim hand the Texas Rangers an 8-6 setback at Angel Stadium.

Colon (9-4) won for the fifth time in six decisions after allowing three runs and six hits. He struck out seven batters and walked two.

Dallas McPherson drove in three runs, while Darin Erstad and Vladimir Guerrero each finished with three hits for the Angels.

David Dellucci belted a three-run homer and Mark Teixeira went 2-for-3 with two runs batted in for the Rangers.

Texas starter Chan Ho Park (7-2) was touched for eight runs and 10 hits and lasted just over one inning. He fell to 6-1 in his last 11 starts.
