NEW YORK, May 8 (UPI) -- Tino Martinez hit a three-run homer and Alex Rodriguez and Jorge Posada had solo shots Sunday, powering the New York Yankees to a 6-0 win over Oakland.

Kevin Brown (1-4) pitched seven innings, allowing five hits and no runs. Tom Gordon pitched the eighth and Tanyon Sturtze the ninth.

Joe Torre now has 900 wins at manager of the Yankees.

Oakland starter Rich Harden (2-2) was the loser, giving up five hits and two runs in seven innings.
