LAS VEGAS, April 15 (UPI) -- Wendy Ward fired a 4-under 68 Friday that boosted her into a three-shot lead with one round to play at the Takefuji Classic.
Ward shared the first-round lead with Karrie Webb, but moved in front by herself with a round that was only one shot off the best of the day.

Webb posted a 71 Friday to share second place with Moria Dunn at 136.
In-Bee Park, a 16-year-old amateur, stayed in contention by firing a 71 and she was tied for fourth at 137 with Nicole Perrot, Mi Hyun Kim and Lorena Ochoa.
Annika Sorenstam, the dominant force in women's golf, is not competing this week.
