MLB: New York 8, Baltimore 5

NEW YORK, April 9 (UPI) -- Ruben Sierra hit a three-run homer as part of a five-run seventh inning Saturday, rallying the New York Yankees to an 8-5 win over Baltimore.

Alex Rodriguez went three for five with an RBI to help the Yankees end a two-game losing streak.

New York was behind by three runs going into the seventh, but the Yankees put runners on first and third and Gary Sheffield singled to drive in a run.

Steve Kline relieved Steve Reed and gave up a ground-rule double to Hideki Matsui that brought in Derek Jeter.

Sierra hit Kline's next pitch over the fence in left.
