NBA: Detroit 98, Indiana 93

INDIANAPOLIS, Dec. 25 (UPI) -- Richard Hamilton scored 25 points Saturday to lead the Detroit Pistons to a 98-93 victory over the Indiana Pacers.

It was the first meeting between the teams since the brawl that took place at Auburn Hills on Nov. 19.

Indiana won that game, 97-82. The game had to be stopped because of the outbreak and NBA commissioner David Stern suspended Indiana's Ron Artest for the remainder of the season for his part in the incident.

Stern also suspended eight other players for their parts in the melee that started on the court and eventually found its way into the seats and included the fans.

Detroit's biggest loss was a six-game suspension to Ben Wallace, whose two-handed shove to Artest's face started the fight.

In this one, Chauncey Billups added 20 points and Tayshaun Prince had 18 points and eight rebounds for the Pistons.

Reggie Miller scored 24 points and Jermaine O'Neal added 21 for the Pacers, who have dropped 10 of their last 12 games.
