NBA: San Antonio 116, Cleveland 97

SAN ANTONIO, Dec. 11 (UPI) -- Tim Duncan scored 25 of his 34 points in the opening half Saturday as the San Antonio Spurs posted a 116-97 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Duncan shot 13-for-15 shots and Bruce Bowen was 8-of-11 and scored 20 points. Tony Parker added 18 points and 13 assists.

Drew Gooden had 28 points, his high since joining Cleveland. He also had nine rebounds. LeBron James had 23 points and 10 assists for the Cavaliers, who have lost 15 in a row in San Antonio dating back to Dec. 8, 1988.

The Spurs connected on 26 of their 31 attempts in the first half and scored 69 points, eclipsing their previous high for the season by 10 points.
