MEMPHIS, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Memphis made its first win of the season a big one Wednesday night with Pau Gasol scoring 22 points in a 110-87 rout of the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Grizzlies began the season with four losses, but led the Lakers by 19 at the break and by as many as 32 in the fourth quarter.

Shane Battier scored 18 and Jason Williams had 17 for Memphis.
Lakers star Kobe Bryant made just four of 19 shots from the floor and managed 20 points. Los Angeles hit a mere 36.8 percent from the field as the Lakers lost to Memphis for the third time in 11 meetings.
