NFL: Pittsburgh 34, Cleveland 23

PITTSBURGH, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- Rookie Ben Roethlisberger remained unbeaten as a starter Sunday, throwing for 231 yards and a score in pacing Pittsburgh to a 34-23 win over Cleveland.

Roethlisberger took over at quarterback when Tommy Maddox injured an elbow in the second week of the season and the rookie has won all three of his starts.

Duce Staley added 117 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries to push the Steelers to 4-1. Cleveland dropped to 2-3.

Roethlisberger's touchdown pass went to Plaxico Burress, who caught 136 yards worth of throws. Pittsburgh beat Cleveland for the seventh time in eight tries.

Jeff Garcia completed 16 of 34 throws for 210 yards and Cleveland came up with a defensive touchdown when Chris Crocker returned an interception 20 yards.
