MLB: Philadelphia 7, Montreal 2

PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 19 (UPI) -- Placido Polanco had three hits and two RBI Sunday to lead the Philadelphia Phillies to a 7-2 victory over the Montreal Expos.

Jimmy Rollins added three hits and drove in a run for the Phillies.

Tony Batista had two hits and an RBI for Montreal. Endy Chavez also knocked in a run.

Phillies rookie Gavin Floyd (2-0) got the win in relief, allowing one run on four hits in three innings. Montreal starter Scott Downs (3-6) suffered the loss, allowing five runs and eight hits in four innings.
