OAKLAND, Calif., Aug. 14 (UPI) -- Damian Miller's three-run double highlighted a five-run sixth inning Saturday as the Oakland Athletics posted a 6-1 win over the Kansas City Royals.
Rich Harden pitched six innings to pick up his fourth consecutive winning decision. Harden (7-5) allowed one run on five hits and four walks with five strikeouts and is unbeaten since June 21.

Miller was 3-for-3 and also scored twice to go with his three RBI. Mark Kotsay added a solo homer for the Athletics, who snapped a three-game slide.
John Buck drove in the lone run for the Royals, losers in seven of their last nine.
Brian Anderson (2-10) took the loss after yielding five runs on five hits in 5 1/3 innings.
