MINNEAPOLIS, June 12 (UPI) -- Crlos Silva allowed one run and struck out eight in seven innings Saturday to lead the Minnesota Twins to a 6-1 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies.

Acquired by the Twins last December in the deal that sent lefthander Eric Milton to Philadelphia, Silva (7-3) tied Juan Rincon for the team lead in wins.

The Twins jumped on Phillies starter Kevin Millwood (4-5) for four runs with two out in the second inning.

The Twins added two runs in the eighth off rookie reliever Geoff Geary.
