Curtis Joseph made just 14 saves for Detroit, which killed all five power plays by Calgary and held Hart Trophy finalist Jarome Iginla without a shot.
Shean Donovan and Chuck Kobasew scored for the Flames, who grabbed home-ice advantage with an overtime win in the opener and host Game Three on Tuesday.
