NHL: San Jose 2, Minnesota 1

MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- Mike Ricci and Vincent Damphousse scored power-play goals Friday afternoon as San Jose beat Minnesota, 2-1.

In the win, Vesa Toskala made 17 saves as the Sharks continued their longest winning streak in two seasons. They went 2-for-7 with the man advantage after entering the day with the 10th-best power play in the NHL at 18.1 percent.

San Jose also killed all five of its shorthanded situations on the way to its fourth straight win, the team's longest run since a four-game stretch during the final two weeks of the 2001-02 season. The Sharks also are unbeaten in six games (4


2) for the first time since that season.

2 in his last six appearances. He has made three straight starts since Evgeni Nabokov went down with a groin injury.

Andrew Brunette scored for the Wild, who lost their fourth straight game.
