PHOENIX, Nov. 22 (UPI) -- Vesa Toskala made 31 saves to secure the third combined shutout in team history Friday night, giving San Jose a 5-0 win over Phoenix.
Evgeni Nabokov began the game in goal, but left after one period with a groin injury. Toskala came on and stopped 14 shots in the second and 17 in the third to help snap San Jose's four-game winless streak.

Vincent Damphousse snapped a 19-game drought with his first goal of the season.
Marco Sturm gave his goaltenders all the support they needed while on the power play at 6:04 of the first period, scoring his fifth goal in as many games. Mike Ricci and Alyn McCauley added tallies to give San Jose a 3-0 cushion after 20 minutes.
