Play resumes Monday at Wimbledon

LONDON, June 30 (UPI) -- Defending champion Serena Williams plays No. 15 Elena Dementieva of Russia on Monday when Wimbledon moves into the fourth round.

Wimbledon is the only Grand Slam to take off the middle Sunday.

Williams will try to advance to the quarterfinals at her 12th straight major. The last time she failed get past the fourth round was the 2000 Australian Open. She has not dropped a set at the All England Club since losing to Jennifer Capriati in the 2001 quarterfinals.

"Definitely, I'm going to have to pick up my game," said the No. 1 seed.

Also on the docket are Kim Clijsters, French Open champion Justine Henin-Hardenne, who plays Mary Pierce of France, Venus Williams, in a grudge match against No.16 Vera Zvonareva of Russia, Lindsay Davenport, Andre Agassi, Juan Carlos Ferrero, who meets Sebastien Grosjean, Roger Fereder, and Andy Roddick.

For the first time in Grand Slam history, five Russian women have advanced to the fourth round.
