VIERA, Fla., March 4 (UPI) -- Toby Rumfield had a two-run single and Vladimir Guerrero hit a solo homer Monday to lift the Montreal Expos to a 4-3 victory over the Florida Marlins in a Grapefruit League game.

A backup first baseman, Rumfield's hit snapped a fifth-inning tie. Guerrero hit his first spring homer in the opening frame.

Highly touted Marlins starter Josh Beckett took the loss after allowing two runs and three hits in two innings.

Expos starter Tony Armas also worked two innings and gave up one run and three hits. Scott Strickland worked a perfect frame for the win.

Cliff Floyd had two of the Marlins' five hits.
