Hundreds of witches paddle down Oregon river

Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Hundreds of witches traded in their brooms for paddles and took to an Oregon river for the second annual Stand Up Paddleboard Witch Paddle.

The witches, along with some wizards and warlocks, donned their black robes and pointy hats before climbing aboard their paddleboards and traveling on the Willamette River from Willamette Park to Tom McCall Waterfront Park and back, a distance of about 6 miles.

The participants traveledfrom all across the United States to participate in the event.

Participants and spectators were asked to donate warm coats for the Sunshine Division and Our House charity.
