Lottery player wins same prize from same game two months apart

Jan. 31 (UPI) -- A Maryland Lottery player is celebrating after winning the same amount from the same game purchased at the same store almost exactly two months apart.

Earl Summers, 53, of Brunswick, told Maryland Lottery officials the $50,000 jackpot he won from a Bonus Match 5 ticket purchased from Jerry's Liquors on Friday came with a sense of deja vu -- he won the same amount from the same game with a ticket purchased at the same store Nov. 29.

"I must be the luckiest man in the world," Summers said. "This is just unbelievable."

"How does this happen twice," he said. "I gave my wife the ticket to check to make sure it was true."

Summers' wife, April, said she was similarly shocked by her husband's double wins.

"This just can't be real," she said. "We are still in disbelief."
