Airport suspends operations due to fox on the runway

Jan. 29 (UPI) -- An aviation enthusiast in Britain said an airport temporarily shut down operations when a wild fox was spotted wandering on the runway.

The video, filmed Friday and posted to YouTube by MT_Aviation, shows the fox wandering around on Runway 23L at England's Manchester Airport.

The video shows the fox wander from the runway to a grassy area while airport officials launched capture attempts.

"An animal on the runway can cause serious harm to the aircraft if struck whilst taking off," the filmer wrote. "Operations were momentarily stopped but got back under way quickly."
