Jan. 25 (UPI) -- A Virginia man broke an unusual and painful Guinness World Record when he walked barefoot across a 120 foot path composed of loose Lego bricks.

Russell Cassevah shed his shoes Sunday at the Chesapeake Montessori School to walk across the 120 foot Lego path and break the 85-foot world record for a barefoot Lego walk.

The successful attempt, which has been submitted to Guinness, was aimed at raising money for FairyBricks, a British charity that provides Lego sets to hospitalized children.

FairyBricks made headlines in November when 2,000 Lego sets were stolen from one of the group's mini vans.
