Dec. 12 (UPI) -- A Norwegian man attempting to get close-up video of seagulls ended up watching his camera get stolen by a bird -- and he found it more than five months later.

Kjell Robertsen said he placed some pieces of bread around his GoPro camera to lure the local seagulls in for some close-ups, but the attempt worked too well and one of the birds grabbed the camera in its mouth and flew away.

Robertsen said the camera turned up a fifth of a mile from his home about five months later.

The video he retrieved from the camera shows some scenic landscape shots of Norway as the bird flies, before the gull sets the camera down on the ground and pecks at it.
