Manatees visit paddleboarders off Florida coast

March 30 (UPI) -- A Florida woman out paddleboarding with friends captured video of a visit by a group of friendly manatees.

The video shows the manatees swimming under and right up to the woman's paddleboard and those of her friends off the coast of St. Petersburg.

"My friends and I were out paddleboarding in St. Petersburg and we paddled upon this active and playful pod of manatees," the woman wrote.

"They were frolicking around and under our boards for at least 30 minutes. It was the best show," she wrote.
