Deer wanders into house, steals food from dining cat

NOVOSIBIRSK, Russia, Jan. 6 (UPI) -- A Russian homeowner shared video of a wild deer wandering inside the house and stealing a meal from the family cat.

The video shows a deer walk through the open front door of a home in the Katkovo area of Novosibirsk and interrupt the family cat's meal.

The deer moves in on the food bowl while the cautious cat backs away and grumbles at the thief.

The deer satisfies itself with a few bites of the cat's food before casually strolling back out of the door.

The homeowner said the incident occurred Nov. 5. They did not reveal whether the deer, which appeared familiar and comfortable with its surroundings, had previously been inside the house.
