McDonald's holiday coffee cup goes viral for 'cheeky' design

OTTAWA, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- McDonald's holiday-themed coffee cups are going viral thanks to a Twitter user who pointed out how easily the innocent image becomes risque.

The seemingly innocent McCafe cup features a pair of white mittens touching their tips with the message "Warmest Greetings" written on them and a background with snowflakes, stars and hearts.

Ziya Tong, co-host of the Discovery Canada show Daily Planet, showed how the cup design quickly turns wrong when she tweeted a picture of a cup that had been slightly altered with a pen to make the mitten thumbs into hands -- making the rest of the mittens look like human gluteals.

"Um... @McDonalds methinks you need help with your graphics," Tong tweeted.

The photo quickly went viral with thousands of retweets.
