Police seeking owner of exotic bird found in Chicago park

CHICAGO, Nov. 22 (UPI) -- A colorful exotic bird was found wandering un attended at a public part in Chicago, according to local police.

Palos Park police shared a photo of the multicolored bird found in Palos Park and Monday and encouraged anyone with information about the bird to call the department.

"Day shifts officers placed the bird into custody without incident," Palos Park Police Chief Joe Miller told the Chicago Sun Times.

The bird was spotted "acting suspicious" before being captured by police and taken to an animal shelter.
