Crocodile interrupts swimming couple at Zimbabwe resort pool

KARIBA, Zimbabwe, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- A security camera at a Zimbabwe resort's swimming pool was recording when a crocodile interrupted a couple's nighttime swim.

The video, posted to YouTube by user Zimbo88, shows a man and a woman relaxing in the pool after dark Thursday at a resort in Kariba when a crocodile appears in frame and jumps into the water.

The man quickly climbs out of the pool and runs, but the woman ends up cornered by the reptile and struggles with it until the man returns and distracts the croc from the rear.

The woman is able to escape the pool and flee with the man.

The woman reportedly suffered some minor bite marks in the struggle, but managed to evade any serious injury.
