MORRIS, Conn., Oct. 20 (UPI) -- A pair of hikers in Connecticut captured video of their encounter with a trail-blocking mother bear and her cubs.

The video, posted to YouTube by user Eric H, shows the mother bear standing in the middle of a Morris trail ahead of the male and female hikers, blocking the path back to their car.

"Could you go the other way, please?" the man asks the bear. "Could you get out of the trail, please?"

The language turns less civil as the bear refuses to budge.

"Go on, get out of here!" the man says.

The female hiker adds, "Go, get out!"

"We don't want your kind around here," the man jokes.

The bear's two cubs soon emerge from the trees, revealing the bear as a mother waiting for her children.

"Bye, guys!" the man shouts after the bears.
