DELAND, Fla., Oct. 13 (UPI) -- A minivan buried under a large tree during Hurricane Matthew proved it could take a licking and keep on ticking when it was able to drive away.

A video posted to YouTube by Kim Kipp shows the minivan being freed from beneath a large tree in Florida by public works employees.

The van shockingly still works and is able to drive away from the scene, despite extensive damage to its body.

A second video recorded after the minivan was driven to a nearby open area shows the extent of the damage to the vehicles exterior and interior.
