WINDSOR, N.C., Oct. 12 (UPI) -- A North Carolina family whose neighborhood was flooded by Hurricane Matthew discovered an upside to the situation -- they can catch catfish from their porch.

Russell Jinnette posted a video to YouTube showing the father and young son casting a line from their front porch in Windsor and reeling in a large blue catfish.

"Our home neighborhood in Windsor, N.C., was severely flooded as a result of Hurricane Matthew," Jinnette wrote in the video's description.

"We decided to make the best of a bad situation and set fishing lines off the front porch. Wouldn't you know we hooked and landed a nice blue catfish as my son looked on?! Great moment for us," Jinnette wrote.
