"As I was waking her up, I looked out the window and a black bear was going across our yard," Key told the Forsyth County News.
Key snapped photos of the bear raiding a bird feeder, a deer feeder and the bird bath.
"We feed the deer, and I guess he was there for the deer food," Key said. "He tore down our bird feeder. I've got a picture of him -- he was almost, like climbing a tree -- and he was after another bird feeder in that tree."
"He hung around for 15 to 20 minutes or so," Key said. "We've got hundreds of acres of woods behind us, and he just went back into the woods."
Key said he isn't taking any chances in the future.
"This morning when I went out to feed the deer again, I took my pistol with me," Key told WSB-TV. "I just -- Ha, ha! I don't know if he'll come back or not!"
