Bear cub plays with backyard rope swing in New Hampshire

HANOVER, N.H., Aug. 23 (UPI) -- A bear cub strolling through a New Hampshire yard with its mother and siblings took a few moments to play with the residents' rope swing.

The Hanover resident captured video of the bear cub attempting to climb on the swing and pulling on the rope while walking upright.

The resident said the mother bear and her three cubs then walked to a neighbor's house, where the mama bear overturned a trash can and walked off with a bag filled with garbage in her mouth.

Bears as a species are no stranger to using backyard equipment for their own amusement. The animals have been spotted using kiddie pools, a trampoline and even a water-filled planter as playground equipment.
