Live-streamer nearly struck by lightning in Arizona storm

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Aug. 3 (UPI) -- A street preacher broadcasting live during an Arizona storm captured the moment he was almost struck by a bolt of lightning.

Nick Griemsmann, a blogger who travels the world doing street evangelism and broadcasting his talks on Periscope, was using the live-streaming app to film during a July 29 rainstorm on the streets of Scottsdale.

Griemsmann tells his viewers he is headed for shelter when suddenly a bolt of lightning strikes close to where he is standing, knocking him off-balance.

"Wow! That thing hit like right next to me!" Griemsmann says.
